FOCIP offers many ways to get involved. Due to insurance reasons, volunteers must be FOCIP members and sign a liability form. Membership information can be found here.

Tuesday Work Parties

Work Parties are usually held the first three Tuesdays of the month – see our calendar or our home page for details.

Tasks can include brush cutting, raking leaves, peeling logs, clearing trails and campsites, removing debris, and helping with park construction.

You need to sign up for a task prior to the work party.   Email the FOCIP president, Tom Eisenberg, at focip.tome@gmail.com to be put on the work party notification contact list.

Tools are provided by FOCIP. Wear long pants, gloves and sturdy footwear. Check your emails when the weather is bad to see if the work party is cancelled. We will also try to post cancellation info on our website and Facebook page.

Adopt-a-Park Program

In addition to the structured FOCIP Work Parties each month, the FOCIP Adopt-a-Park program provides a free-form way for volunteers to donate significant value to Camano Island’s parks and trails. Participants sign up to monitor and perform light maintenance on a specific trail or section of a park.
