removed a little debris. Dog walkers beware of the "troll under the bridge". Abbey jumped into the water to go after a forty-pound beaver there. It was holding its ground.

We got a nice walk on No. 1&2 cleared by Pat and Russ as stated, but then reality hit us. Lots and lots of debris on the neighborhood trail and No. 3 in addition to all the debris has 3 trees down. 2 trees are close to each other, photos attached and one is closer to the beginning to No. 10, photos in separate report. We cleaned up around the trees, so people can see and walk on the trails, but calling on the guys with the chainsaws to finish the job. We also removed a few other obstructions of big branches and/or treetops on all the trails in several places. Hours are per person.

Here are the photos missing from our previous report today. And I repeat: Trail No. 3 in addition to all the debris has 3 trees down. 2 trees are close to each other, photos previously attached and one is closer to the beginning to No. 10, photos attached here. We cleaned up around the trees, so people can see and walk on the trails, but calling on the guys with the chainsaws to finish the job.

covers 2/28 and 2/29; cleared small fallen branches from trails; persistent weeks-long puddles on each of north and south trails that cover the full width of the trails would be good spots to add boardwalk-like planks similar to those at entrance to south trail; lots of dog poop on north trail (problem for over a month) -- can we install a sign about picking up after one's dog and a bag dispenser?

WOW! the amount of debris from the recent windstorms were overwhelming. We couldn't take one step without having to remove some debris. Our arms got the workout today! And we came across a big burnout snag on the No. 3 trail that we removed. It broke into 3 pieces. But the nice surprise was to see the yellow skunk cabbage flower emerging in the wetlands No. 6 trail. Hours are per person.

After the night's windstorm, there was a lot of debris to clean up AND there's a tree/snag down across the Fullerton trail No. 2, located about 2/3 of the trail from the pond. We tried to push it off the trail, but it's too heavy. Photo attached. The trails are still very muddy in places. That awful leaner & headbanger on the Beach Trail No. 6 seem to be resting a bit lower now and may have turned as well just slightly as the eyr-poker is not facing right into the eye anymore? But, watch out walking up the hill or it'll get you! Yes, it nearly got me several times! Please take it down! Hours are per person.

We walked the entire beach both ways at 2.5 tide. We found 2 tires - one is tied up to a big piece of driftwood! What a nice, sunny, warm day! Many questers, old people with canes, one wheelchair, lots of kids, some with sticks, and many dogs. We didn't do much maintenance, trails are very muddy and too many people. Hours are per person

Trails are mostly clear except for the usual debris that we always remove. We also keep both extension trails clear of debris and branches. Note: On the Cross Island No. 6 trail portion, close to No 10, there's a tall leaner that has a few cracks at the bottom. It will probably fall across the trail soon, hopefully not on someone. Please check it out! Photos are taken at different angles to show the tree better, it's leaning on another tree across the trail. Hours are per person

Trails are mostly clear except for the usual debris that we always remove. BUT, there's a big tree down across No. 14 by the bridge, where No. 14 & 13 meet, down from the Gwyn Tripplet bench. That bridge needs new handrails! We cleared the trail around the downed tree, so it can be stepped over at one end. Hours are per person

We were curious about No. 15, Al Emerson Trail that we reported on last week, Feb. 6. Sure enough, that big tree that fell creating a huge mess is still obstructing the old trail although cut back a bit, but unless you know where the old trail was, you can't find it. We made a shortcut trail last week and found that it's been improved, obstructions on it cut, so it looks like it's the new trail???? Photos 1-4 are from Feb. 6 and 5-10 from today, Feb. 13. Last photo shows the new trail. ... NOTE: It looks like they got uploaded in reverse order ?!!???! We cleared the debris around the site. Hours are per person.
