Trails are clear and dry, except there's a tree across No. 6 between the 2 crossover trails to No. 3; it's at ground level, so not a big issue. I think it's the same tree that Wendy reported last week.

MaintenanceRemoved Obstruction

Trails are basically in very good shape and almost all trails are dry. We found a few minor obstructions around the Eagle Ridge area that we removed. But there are 2 large logs across one of the entrance trails to the Heavenly beaver pond, most likely felled by the beavers, located along No. 5. I don't think it's critical, because of where they are located, but .... see photo attached. Hours are per person.

Great day! trails are clear and clipped, mud has dried. Although, the neighborhood trail is very narrow. Thank you to Ruth for removing the obstruction on the extension trail along Cranberry Lake. A dog in a doggie "walking wheel chair" was able to make it all the way to the end today! We just did the "usual" stuff. Hours are per person

There were lots of debris on all the trails that we cleared, but .... there are 3-5 big trees down across No. 5 on the flat part up from the lake/pond. It's barely passable, but only if you can climb over it. Tom had to help me. It's a big job for big saws! We couldn't do much. Hours are per person.

Clipped back briers, etc on Cranberry Lake main trail and on Lake to Beaver Dam section. There's a 4 - 5 inch tree down over trail. I'll try to get out tomorrow and cut it with a limb saw.

Trails are very muddy and overgrown, Hobbit trail is a mess! We didn't know how to or where to start clearing and cutting, so we walked the beach at very low tide, almost all the way to Terry's Corner ... NOT, the mud sank us first! Hours are per person.

We removed lots of branches and sticks and one long snag laying across #3. I've not seen this many large and deep puddles in a long time. Al Emerson, No. 15 needs a lot more weed whacking than we did today. Eaglet "Bugger" was flapping his wings in the nest, he's getting big! Hours are per person.

The beavers have lost their dam, so the boardwalks are above water again. However, nature took over. The grass is so thick and high and the bushes hanging so low that you can't see the boardwalks! No bushwhacking today, just a walk in the rain and a trail check. Hour is per person.

I picked up quite a bit of trash and was able to hike the trail to the end. A nearby resident has constructed a driftwood bench next to the trail. There is a pair of eyeglasses on the picnic table.

All trails are basically clear but muddy and slippery AND very narrow in places, including the neighborhood trail that is not numbered. We had to bushwhack our way through sometimes, and removed lots of intruding sticker & stinger bushes. There is a long tree/leaner down across the Cranberry Lake extension, about knee high, photo attached. Hours are per person.

We found 4 obstructions, cleared one, but had to leave a small one on #3 and a double one on 2 for the boys with saws; no need to bring big powerful chain saws, these are long slender trees/leaners. They are close to each other. Trails are very muddy/slippery. We chopped lots of bushes and plants, cleared lots of debris. Hours are per person.

Trails are basically clear, but somewhat obstructed by low leaners (duck please!) and overgrown bushes and plants across the trails all over the preserve. We had to "bushwhack" our way along some of the narrow trails that nature is taking over. The stinging nettles are as tall as a person and are blooming, sigh!!! We whacked back many bushes and plants, removed lots of branches and debris. It was raining again, so the trails are wet, muddy and lots of puddles everywhere again too. Hours are per person
