We showed up for the crab talk at 11am on June 22 (as advertised on the Facebook page and on the website calendar), at the amphitheater, but it was closed/nobody there. The ranger had no knowledge about it. A big disappointment! So we took our walk from there. Trails are in good shape, Bugger was in the nest, we helped lots of visitors find him on their way, removed debris and a few big branches. The mosquitoes were very hungry and aggressive! At high tide there is a lot of water on trail. Just past the second bridge there is a big puddle. People place logs to cross, but they are unstable. A board would be very helpful there.

All the trails are in excellent shape. The neighborhood trail has been mowed and widened, thank you to who did this! The Cross island trail is widened too, more thank yous! Ditto about Cranberry Lake trail, although we did clip back growth at the end and continued to open up the view on the Cranberry Lake beaver dam trail. Now you can see the lake/pond ... LOL! First we walked the beach at low tide then all the trails. I'm choosing obstructed because the trails are so overgrown you can't see some of them. Some areas are still very muddy and need boardwalks. And we were alerted by some people to be cautious/aware of the loose netting on the boardwalk on #4 that they got caught in. We tried to remove it, but couldn't so we just hung the loose part over into the bushes, one photo shows how much as I put over my walking pole. Sadly, the Forest Loop is such a mess! Photos attached. And it was very busy as today was such a nice day! Hours are per person

A vehicle drove on the entrances to each of the north and south trails and on the trail that connects them. It looks like the vehicle may have knocked over a 4" x 4" post that had a sign about the park being under surveillance. Someone has propped that post against the kiosk. Only one handout remains in the kiosk. The post should be reclaimed/reused or resunk, depending on what the County wants. Reported time covers visits from 6/7 through 6/18.

Trails are in good shape, a bit muddy still on #7. We cut back plants along the trails and along the beaver dam trail at the lake and opened up a couple of view areas. Happy to see that the café is doing well on Father's Day. The lower parking areas were full. I found a few pretty Paper Bellflowers on the trail (photo attached). Hours are per person

Lots of debris and branches to clear today, plus there's a long leaner hanging head high across No 1 as you head east from the parking area along the road. We cleared all the branches off the tree and off the trail so ducking under it is OK. Also, another big tree fell along the trail a feet further down, so again we cleaned all the debris and branches, so it's passable too. There's a leaner on No. 2 that's hanging lower ... (top/last photo) ... LOL! Someone cut up a tree that fell across the junction of No's 5&6 at the Beaver Marsh. Thank you so much! Hours are per person.

Trails are basically in very good shape and almost all trails are dry. We found a few minor obstructions around the Eagle Ridge area that we removed. But there are 2 large logs across one of the entrance trails to the Heavenly beaver pond, most likely felled by the beavers, located along No. 5. I don't think it's critical, because of where they are located, but .... see photo attached. Hours are per person.

It's barely passable, but only if you can climb over it. Tom had to help me. It's a big job for big saws! We couldn't do much. Hours are per person.
