Noticed a fairly large collection of beach trash collected under the sign.
Trying out the new website!

We found a cooler washed up on the beach and decided to bring it up to the sign where people are dumping their trash. Empty bottles were blowing around so we put them all in the cooler. I have notified the county guy and he's picking it up.
PS. There is no number to indicate walking the beach. We often do that and pick/report trash etc.

We cut back some sticker bushes on No3 as the Holly Loop trail is very muddy and trying to walk around that, we got beat up by these bushes across the face! Photo shows a beautiful view! .... Note that hours are per person.

That headbanger on No. 8, Bluff Trail is getting lower and more dangerous. I think it needs to be removed. I almost hit my head on it, cleaning the trail. Photos attached. I removed/cleaned a lot of sticks, debris and big branches off all the trails that are very wet and muddy with lots of big puddles/standing water everywhere, esp. on the Fullerton Trail. And, there's a little more beaver action at the Heavenly pond. Photos attached!

Trails are still a bit icy, very wet and slippery mud. I recommend that you wear rubber boots! We removed a minor obstruction on No. 6 ..... yes, another planted-itself-branch, and the debris on the road/trail. Also, there's a new garbage area, namely the new lookout platform (that is closed pending the inspector). So help me God! Hours are per person.

Today we found the trails very muddy, should I say very, very muddy! But, what else is new? It would be nice if a few more more boardwalks were laid down or at the very least some rocks applied to the worst mudholes! We found a beaver induced leaner across No. 5 at the Heavenly beaver marsh and we took it down before it falls on someone. Otherwise, we just removed the regular debris. Hours are per person.

Yes, clear but very muddy, especially No. 1-4. Some area really need boardwalks. The hill down to Fullerton Pond is also very slippery. We also walked the entire beach at around 4.5 feet tide. It's always interesting to see how the beach has been re-arranged every winter. Sadly, lots of garbage has washed ashore incl. a tire. We cleared the usual debris from the trails. We've been watching a few leaners on the Fullerton trail, No.2. Today, one of them fell safely into the woods and away from the trail. Many trails are very muddy, so it would be nice if some boardwalks were move/re-arranged. Hours are per person

After the night's windstorm, there was a lot of debris to clean up AND there's a tree/snag down across the Fullerton trail No. 2, located about 2/3 of the trail from the pond. We tried to push it off the trail, but it's too heavy. Photo attached. The trails are still very muddy in places. That awful leaner & headbanger on the Beach Trail No. 6 seem to be resting a bit lower now and may have turned as well just slightly as the eyr-poker is not facing right into the eye anymore? But, watch out walking up the hill or it'll get you! Yes, it nearly got me several times! Please take it down! Hours are per person.

We went looking for the aggressive owl on the Eagle Ridge trail, but didn't find it. We found the beach at very low tide (0.5--0.1) around 1pm and decided to walk it. We found it totally re-arranged around the new FOCIP access point. We rounded up some garbage too! Of course, we removed the debris off the trails as well. Yes, I found my old Viking ship ... LOL! No 1, 2, 3, 4 and 11 trails are extremely muddy; it would so nice if additional boardwalks could be put there. We also walked the entire beach at low tide. There's a big storage bin on the beach up against the cliff close to the point. Last time we filled it up with debris and put the lid on it. We then notified the county. The tides have shifted it somewhat, but it's still there. Photos are from March 13. Hours are per person

We've been busy enjoying our beaches at low tide for the past few days and today was no exception. We walked the entire beach at Barnum at minus -2.46 tide (at 1:46pm) all around on the quicksand just below the slippery rocks! How I wish that we could walk on hard sand a mile out! Sigh, .... The weather was perfect too! We also walked the trails and did our usual maintenance. Hours are per person

Trails are basically in very good shape and almost all trails are dry. We found a few minor obstructions around the Eagle Ridge area that we removed. But there are 2 large logs across one of the entrance trails to the Heavenly beaver pond, most likely felled by the beavers, located along No. 5. I don't think it's critical, because of where they are located, but .... see photo attached. Hours are per person.
